Dog Parks and Beaches in Bar Harbor Little Long Pond Leash-Free Area - private off-leash area in Acadia National Park; walk your leashed pet through Acadia National Park to this privately owned, tract of land is unfenced area bordering the park near Seal Harbor; it contains about five miles of carriage roads and a few short sections of singletrack, including a nice, rugged section that follows along the west shore of Little Long Pond, and bicyclists are not allowed here, so dogs can run free; the Rockefeller family owns this area and shares with the public its rolling meadows, shaded trails, and even a pond where your dog can swim; the parking area is located about one mile west of Seal Beach on Peabody Dr (Rt 3) |
